A little bit about me

I want to share a little of my background with you.  I was born in Scotland and as a child moved to England but I have spent most of my life living and working in Wales.

Home is Eryri in North Wales where I live with my partner, Jimmy the dog and our two cats Elsie and Belle.  I have two grown up step-children who are exploring and finding their place in the world.

I find joy and peace in creating and making. I’m an artist, I love painting.  Art is an important way that I connect with my sense of spirituality and the world around me.

Nature is one of my greatest loves and teacher. I am endlessly inspired by the land, the sea, and the other animals we share this world with.  My heart belongs to watery valleys lush with mosses, lichens, and ferns, to rugged, wild coastlines, and to the high points of the land where it’s easy to imagine soaring above the mountains like a bird.

My life is grounded in a deep reverence for Mystery and a felt spiritual connection to the intelligence of life as it flows through all things. As a student of Spiritual Ecology, I have been profoundly influenced by my studies at Schumacher College in Devon and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.

My journey

"I followed a calling to trust and to move deeper into remembering who I am"

I love the way I make a living; It is deeply meaningful to me.

Since my early years, I have had a natural affinity with building meaningful connections, not only with people but also with other animals and places.  I have been shaped by my lived experience, and my journey has been many cycles of transformation and  learning what it means to be a person in this world, to be human, and to find belonging and my kin.

For over three decades, my work has centred on healing trauma, tending to grief, exploring meaning and spirituality,
and rebuilding our connection to the natural world. I have a particular interest in working with people with high sensitivity, with creativity, exploring meaning, spirituality, and understanding our yearning for belonging.

As a psychotherapist, teacher, healer, and artist, my work is rooted in relationship—with the land, the sea, and all kin. It is infused with a commitment to social change, self-generated ceremony, and the transformative power of connection.  I offer a range of therapeutic approaches to help people to heal trauma, emotional and developmental wounds, to transform ways of being that no longer align with their true nature and truly step in to who they are.

I have come to realise how profoundly transformative it is to feel the truth of our feelings. When we embrace the fullness of what we are experiencing and turn toward it with compassion, rather than turning away, we unlock the power to heal, release, and grow. Each layer that we embrace reveals space for a deeper truth for us to embody.  In the tender act of grieving, we make room for something new to emerge. Whatever we hold with love and acceptance has the potential to be transformed.

Remembering ourselves back home can be a lifelong adventure, and I’m here to offer my support on some of that journey back to yourself.

Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
